Idealists enjoy helping others to reach their personal best

Idealists are driven by making connections and building relationships; this is reflected in the jobs that they are suited to.

ENFJ

ENFJs are creative, organized, efficient, and adept at working in challenging environments with supportive colleagues. They are open to new concepts, as long as clear expectations are set, and enjoy working alongside others in helping them with personal development. Suitable jobs for an ENFJ include: Public Relations Specialist, Social Media Manager, Communications Director, Writer, Translator, Graphic Designer, Life Coach, and Educational Psychologist. They sometimes need to remember to relinquish control and slow down when they are engaged in a project.

INFJ

INFJs are catalysts for change. They enjoy working in harmony with their personal beliefs and values in a creative way. This type of worker is independent, but will happily share their work on their own terms (once they feel it is ready). They like to develop ideas that will help others, and are happy being in service. Ideal jobs for INFJs include: College Professor, Online Educator, Career Counsellor, Social Worker, Museum Educator, Marriage Counsellor, and Clergyperson. However, INFJs need to be aware of their tendency to rely on routines and should find ways to be more spontaneous and flexible.

ENFP

ENFPs enjoy working with a range of people on a variety of projects simultaneously. They are creative when it comes to finding solutions, particularly when they are able to follow their inspiration and take part in exciting new projects. Individuals with this personality type flourish when they are able to work to their own schedule without others setting restrictive rules and regulations. Suitable jobs for ENFPs include: Journalist, Blogger, Composer, Interior Decorator, Multimedia Producer, Podcast Producer, Documentary Maker, Social Media Manager, and Advertising Account Executive. To get ahead, ENFPs should develop their focus and commitment.

INFP

INFPs have a strong set of personal values, and it is important that they are able to maintain these at work. They are private people, and need to have their own space to work, be able to follow their own rules, and have plenty of time to develop ideas. Creative and caring, INFPs grasp opportunities for personal development. They do not enjoy office politics, and would rather work in a drama-free workplace. Jobs best suited to INFPs include: Graphic Designer, Architect, Film Editor, Set Designer, Mental Health Counsellor, Social Worker, Online Educator, Curator, and Philanthropic Consultant. In order to make the most of their personalities, INFPs should learn to compromise, and try not to take things too personally.

So, if you’re an Idealist, be sure to find a career that is personally meaningful to you, and in an environment that supports your own values and beliefs.
